Bonnie Lynn Tolson is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. She was five when she drew her first picture. Her artistic life is improvisational jazz, riding the rythms of paint, canvas, paper, sand and found objects to create collage that explores the depths of the soul, like an alchemist's search for gold. Bonnie had two one-woman shows and was in the Westport Art Show this summer. Her work has been displayed in art galleries and institutions across Missouri. She is featured in the August 2003 issue of Missouri Life Magazine. Bonnie taught art and was a school counselor for many years. She pubished Naturally Nappy, a book of poetry in 1992. Hallmark cards used several of her poems on greeting cards. Her days are filled in search of life's secrets and the journey for peace.
