Introduction:
Lauren Cooper's interest in art was first discovered early in high school. Her art intructor recognized her natural abilities and encouraged her to develop her talent. She responded and her passion for art began.

A selection of her work was entered in the 1998 Western Missouri Regional-National Finalist Award for drawing. This award qualified her work to be displayed along with other regional winners at a showing in New York.

Although her early work was in drawing, she soon found that painting was her true passion. It allowed her to express her creativity in a much more personal way. At this point she knew where her career path was headed and she devoted her college years in pursuit of that dream. She attended the University of Kansas where she majored in painting. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in December of 2002.

She now is pursuing her career as a painter of fine art. She scheduled several showings of her original work locally.
